This is a hard to find Nevada specimen from an old Copper mine that operated back in the 1960s. The Copper can be seen grown through the matrix. A rare matrix specimen from this locality.

B188 - Quartz var. Chalcedony $ 400 SOLD Ngabu, Chiwawy-Nsanje District, Malawi cabinet - 10.5 x 6 x 6 cm Gorgeous and unusual specimen of blue chalcedony surrounding a crystallized quartz vug. This material is typically mined for lapidary rough and open crystallized vugs are less common. This is a strikingly beautiful example composed entirely of Quartz with no matrix, perhaps the best one I've seen from this locality.

This specimen appears to be very stable as it's about 50 years old and is not showing any signs of deterioration.
