Gem quality etched crystal with a very uniform blue color. This crystal was selected to be part of the special exhibit 'African Thumbnail Treasures' at the 2012 Munich mineral show, which indicates it is of a quality that 'stands out among the crowd' with respect to other Jeremejevites.

Thumbnails sized cluster of Quartz crystals with an orange red coloration. Main central crystal is mily and translucent at the base and changes to a transparent orange red at the termination. Undamaged, even the small crystals along the base.

Cluster of deep red, gem Rhodo crystals. Outstanding color and luster. A number of the crystal tips have small cleavage faces, but regardless, this is an impressive, attractive cluster of crystals that is hard to come by.

Translucent, butterscotch colored Calcite crystals to 1.8cm wide on a coral-like formation of grey Mottramite.

Highly unusual and rare 'Herkimer sphere' Quartz. It is believed that these grew in vesicles in hydrocarbons. Besides the rounded form, another unusual feature are the small flat crystal faces - I count five such faces on this specimen. You can read more about this unusual occurrence at the following link: http://www.herkimerhistory.com/QuartzSpheres.html. According to this website, the largest such sphere found to date (by 2009, the time the web page was written) was 1.o cm across. Since this one is 50% bigger than that, it is likely that this sphere is in the top percentile for size. Lustrous and undamaged. A superb rarity for a Quartz collector.

Elegant pair of multi-colored Elbaite on blades of white Feldspar. One end of the double-terminated crystals have a yellow color and pyramidal termination, the other ends have a green color and a flatter termination.

Ten yellow-tipped Elbaite crystals that penetrate up and through blades of white Feldspar and a large transparent Quartz crystal. A gorgeous and unusual looking specimen.


A965 - Elbaite $ 350

Double-terminated Elbaite attached to a double-terminated Quartz crystal. Main crystal is undamaged, though a tiny second Elbaite grown out of the Quartz is damaged across the termination, but it is so small you don't notice. Both crystals terminate in a yellow coloration.

Flaoter specimen composed of double-termianted Quartz crystals and yellow tipped Elbaite. The main Elbaite is 2.4cm long. All but one of the other various other Elbaites are terminated.

Double terminated Dravite crystal from a new find in Tanzania. What makes this crystal unusual is the radial color-zoning along the C-axis, clearly visible on one termination. There are six rays with a light green color and six rays of dark green or black. This is the only such crystal of this type I have seen.

Double-terminated Sapphire crystal with a good blue color and undamaged. One termination is flattened and flairs out into a second side crystal.
