CT505 - Hemimorphite 79 Mine, Gila Co., Arizona, USA small cabinet - 5.3 x 4.7 x 3 cm Vug completely filled by radial masses of light blue Hemimorphite crystals. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection. Undamaged.
CT322 - Rutile Champion Mine, Mono Co., California, USA thumbnail - 2 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm Fabulous V-twin crystal of Rutile from the Champion Mine. This is the best V-twin I can recall ever seeing from this locality. There are 6 pages of photos of Rutile fromt his locality on Mindat, and none show better twin formation than this. Complete all around with an area of contact on the back, with high luster. Ex. Chuck Trantham personal collection.
CT707 - Argentite with Silver Potosi, Bolivia miniature - 5 x 4 x 3 cm Silver wires in vugs all over specimen. There are also some unidentified elongated crystals in the vugs. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection.
CT706 - Anglesite Last Chance Mine, Yreka Mining District, Kellog, Shoshone Co., Idaho, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm Glassy transparent Anglesite crystals on a Galena matrix. Longest crystal is 1.4cm. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection. The old label indicates that this was from the Bunker Hill Mine, but it is most likely from the nearby Last Chance Mine, which are much rarer than Bunker Hill Anglesites.
CT787 - Huebnerite with Quartz Pasto Bueno, Ancash, Peru thumbnail - 2.6 x 2 x 2 cm Two crystals of Huebnerite on Quartz crystals. Each crystal appears to be a twin with a distinct 'fish tail' form. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection.
CT777 - Hematite after Magnetite Payun volcano, Altiplano de Payun Matru, Mendoza, Argentina miniature - 4 x 4 x 4 cm Undamaged crystals group of Hematite pseudomorphs after octahedral magnetite crystals from the 2002 find in Argentina. Fascinating, highly sculptural specimen with bright, silvery metallic luster. Largest crystals is 2.5cm in size. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection.
CT780 - Quartz with Calcite Chihuahua, Mexico small cabinet - 7 x 5 x 4 cm Glassy, flower-like cluster of Quartz crystals on a matrix covered by small Calcite crystals. Highly aesthetic, undamaged specimen. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection.
LL147 - Malachite after Azurite Touissit, Oujda, Morocco small cabinet - 5.3 x 3.5 x 3 cm Two connected crystals of Malachite after Azurite pseudomorphs. Rich green with a velvety surface luster. Comes with an old Al McGuinness label.
LL125 - Hematite with Quartz Big Bertha Mine (Veta Grande Mine), Dome Rock Mountains, La Paz County, Arizona, USA small cabinet - 6 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm Large, tabular single Hematite crystals with attached small clear Quartz crystals. Though not complete, it's very large for the find. The Hematite is 1.5cm thick and has bright metallic luster. An Arizona classic.
LL481 - Wulfenite Tsumeb, Namibia thumbnail - 2 x 2 x 0.3 cm Transparent, color-zoned 'window pane' style Wulfenite crystal with additional small crystals attached at the base. Highly lustrous, slight edge chipping, good from front or back. There is a small notch along the top edge where another crystal grew. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
LL493 - Calcite Leiping Mine, Leiping, Guiyang Co., Chenzhou, Hunan, China miniature - 5 x 2.5 x 2 cm Double-terminated transparent Calcite crystals with sharp phantoms caused by Hematite inclusions. There are additional smaller crystals sticking out at right angles from the main crystal. Undamaged. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
LL297 - Kentrolite Big Chief Mine, Hillsboro, Sierra Co., New Mexico, USA thumbnail - 2.5 x 2 x 1.5 cm Black Kentrolite crystals on matrix. Kentrolite is a rare lead and manganese silicate mineral. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection.
LL657 - Chalcophyllite Copper Stope, Majuba Hill Mine, Pershing Co., Nevada, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 2 cm Blue green crystals of Chalcophyllite on matrix from the now defunct Majuba Hill Mine. Good crystals are present on both the front and back sides of the matrix.
LL672 - Clinoclase Copper Stope, Majuba Hill Mine, Pershing Co., Nevada, USA small cabinet - 7.5 x 5.5 x 4 cm Deep blue crystals of Clinoclase on matrix from the now defunct Majuba Hill Mine. The area of crystals is 4cm wide. An excellent example for the locality and of the species.
LL659 - Clinoclase on Cornubite Copper Stope, Majuba Hill Mine, Pershing Co., Nevada, USA miniature - 4.7 x 3 x 2.5 cm Deep blue crystals of Clinoclase over green Cornubite from the now defunct Majuba Hill Mine. Both the front and back have great crystals.
