T31 - Tanzanite Merelani Hills, Arusha Region, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.7 x 1.4 x 0.7 cm Glassy and lustrous gem Tanzanite crystal, complete all around and undamaged, excellent rich color. What else can you say, just a great gem quality crystal, 2.7 x 1.4 x 0.7 cm.
NA276 - Lazulite Rapid Creek, Yukon, Canada cabinet - 13 x 12.5 x 3.5 cm Bright Blue Lazulite crystals to 1.2 cm long thickly clustered on thin matrix plate. I bought a large lot fo these years ago and the few specimens with the white micro crystals coating the Lazulite (apatite? Brazilianite?) alwas had the brightest blue crystals, and this was the best of such specimens. Quartz and Siderite in association, backside also crystallized with smaller crystals, 13 x 12.5 x 3.5 cm.
AF879 - Anglesite Touissit Mine, Morocco miniature - 5 x 5 x 4 cm A 4.5 x 3.2 cm main crystal dominates this specimen. The main crystal has two beautiful and distinct phantoms about 3/4 the way up. There is unfortunaltely some damage along one side of the main crystal, however does not detract significantly when compared to the impact of the main crystal. Size 5 x 5 x 4 cm.
A274 - Herderite Dassu, Skardu Dist., Pakistan miniature - 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm Glassy 2.7cm lime green Herderite crystal atop Albite. These are very hard to find and I have not seen new material of this color in years, 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm.
A777 - Fluorite Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China large cabinet - 18 x 9 x 8 cm Glassy, clear Fluorite cubes forming large cluster of stalactites. The base is an interconnected group of stalactites with about 4 rising up off the base to 15 cm long, with the fourth tallest missing a tip. Biggest of the lot, 18 x 9 x 8 cm.
A128 - Fluorite Xianghuapu Mine, Hunan, China large cabinet - 19 x 17 x 9 cm Large, transparent green cubes of Fluorite. Largest crystal is 8cm across the face. Internally transparent with some glassy faces and some frosted faces. Big and showy.

TZ434 - Dravite Mwajanga, near Komolo, Tanzania small cabinet - 7.3 x 3.1 x 3 cm Large translucent, rootbeer colored Dravite crystal with a very sharp change to white, cat's-eye Dravite. These part rootbeer/part cat's-eye crystals are much less common than normal crystals from the find, and crystals with such a sharp delineation between the two even more so. Weighs 125 grams.
B417 - Dioptase Katanga, Congo small cabinet - 6 x 5.0 x 3 cm Colorful Diop specimen with isolated crystals spread across a vuggy brown and blue matrix. Central crystal is 1.3cm and stands up off the matrix and is glassy and perfect all around. there are larger crystals present but not as well exposed as this one. The blue Shattuckite and structure of the specimen make this an appealing piece.
B651 - Scorodite with Pyrite Babu, Guanxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China miniature - 4.5 x 3 x 3 cm Floater cluster of blue Scorodite crystals with Pyrite. While many of the Scorodites are included by Pyrite, there are also many lusterous blue crystal faces. Most Scorodites from this find were black in color, and those with blue crystals were the beautiful exception. Crystals to 1cm in size. Better than photos. private_notes ©2010-2018 Marin Mineral |
