AF441 - Azurite Bou Bekker Mine, Toussit District, Oujda-Angad Prov., Morocco miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 3 cm Floater cluster of crystals, with large, "rabbit-ear crystals on top. No damage. Well crystallized on all sides with good, deep blue color. These came out a couple years ago and I've not seen them since.
TZ238 - Alabandite Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 4.5 x 4.5 x 3 cm Large single octahedral crystal. One tip is intergrown with Tanzanite. The crystal shows natural etching and is good sized for the find and huge by world standards.
B400 - Azurite Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico small cabinet - 6 x 5.8 x 3 cm Single large Azurite crystal rising vertically from matrix. The crystals is 4.5 cm tall, 2.4cm wide, and 1.3cm thick. There is a little bit of etching on the front face near the termination, but no damage.
B629 - Diopside Kirado Mine, Hirado-Mura, Honshu, Japan thumbnail - 1.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 cm Undamaged single gem crystal of green coloration.
B656 - Wulfenite Kuruktag Mountains, Xinjiang Uygur Region, China cabinet - 15 x 11 x 3 cm Orange Wulfenite crystals that contrast well against the white Calcite covered matrix. A good sized flat plate of crystals.
B673 - Cuprite Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico cabinet - 12 x 6 x 6 cm Bright red Cuprite crystals in vugs on massive Cuprite matrix. Great color, luster, and sparkle to the crystals.
B737 - Jamesonite on Pyrite Zacatecas, Mexico small cabinet - 8.5 x 6.5 x 5.5 cm Large, thick Jamesonite crystals intergrown with Pyrite. Jamesonite is most commonly seen as thin, hair-like crystals, these are stout crystals to 3cm. Hard to find, from an old collection.
T144 - Zektzerite Washington Pass, Okanogan Co., Washington, USA thumbnail - 1.3 x 0.9 x 0.9 cm Sharp single crystal of Zektzerite, a rare lithium, zirconium silicate. Pinkish tan in color with gemmy areas.
T215 - Vayrynenite Shengus, Skardu District, Pakistan thumbnail - 2.3 x 1.0 x 1.0 cm Rare matrix specimen of Vayrynenite. Main crystal is a gemmy pink, double terminated, and 8mm in size. Attached to the base is a darker orangey red mineral, possibly Triplite. ©2010-2018 Marin Mineral |
